I have a 'Skeeter and I remember people saying disabling the magazine disconnect will lighten the trigger. The 22/45 is more prone to FTF when it gets dirty than the 1911-22. Also, the GSG 1911-22 is cheaper and looks like a normal 1911 while the 22/45 looks like Ruger product (which I like).

So after cleaning, not deep cleaning, the Firefly I took it out back to the range to try out again. I have the factory 10 round magazine so I put 10 in it and charged the first round. When I fired it the first cycle failed to feed so I racked it back and it fired the rest of the magazine great.

Tried several different mags and ammo types in both with no issues. As another member posted, it may be a bolt to chamber headspace issue and just a few thousands of an inch enough that it causes light primer strikes in the 522. Mar 28, 2020 · For those that have had failure to feeds, failure to ejects and have taken the bolt out of the GSG Firefly yo smooth the action & de-burr parts, 2 easy to lo... My GSG will not fire. The other day I completely stripped my GSG 1911 to do a thorough cleaning and lubing, including taking the firing pin assembly out of the slide. I sanded the slide grooves with fine sand paper to get the slide action smoother as suggested in several Youtube videos on 'tuning' this gun.
